I must comment on its remote location - it was awesome. The hotel is placed next door to tourist spots I wanted to explore, like Taranaki Falls Track.

The breakfast has extensive options with the coffee machine and the usual easy options and pus the usual cereal. It has stunning, magnificent setting, next to walking tracks in the area as well as the amazing Tongariro National Park.

It's nestled in a beautiful building with great and stunning location in the movie theater downstairs.

Really enjoyed our room that was not cleaned by housekeeping until past 2pm and available with a fireplace, access to a large balcony area plus a lovely view. The breakfast was fantastic and delicious and well priced, all in all food was reasonably priced. The location was remote, not far from a national park-incongruous. The hotels' team was very good.

Overall a great stay because of holidays. Fairly clean, iconic hotel with very good and courteous staff. Amazing breakfast with enough vegan options, good drinks.

Impeccably clean unit with an electric kettle, a refrigerator and glassware. A bathtub in the bathroom. All in all marvellous and stunning setting near to pool/gym/sauna/movie theatre and the mountain on a glorious day. A really comfortable stay on the last night of a ski trip...

The location was magnificent and lovely for traveling around Mount Ruapehu, adjacent to Schnapps Bar in National Park village and the movie theater downstairs. My double room with big bathroom including a bath, great view plus the fridge was functional.

Fairly clean place with glorious view of around mountain and land. Great and gorgeous location near Edge to Edge. Set in a ski area close enough to volcano and landscape and the restaurants and bar/lounge. Cosy base for exploring Mount Ruapehu.

We liked the facilities offered by this grand old and lovely historic hotel. We ate at a good restaurant with friendly staff. The location was great and gorgeous, near Ridge Walking Track. This property was located in a ski area.

The room is functional and tidy with a view of the mountains which was awesome. The breakfasts are extensive with plenty of options. Outstandingly accommodating personnel is at reception desk.

Overall had very very good stay with the best customer service I 've had for a long time. The breakfast in the morning was great value for money and extensive and complete with the usual easy options and very ordinary bread, as for instance. The check-in was easy, I truly enjoyed downstairs bar. The location was stunning in a downstairs lounge area, close enough to the north islands highest mountain and fantastic ski fields and the lower slopes of Ruapehu and the more casual downstairs restaurant. There was a lounge restaurant nearby.

Exceptionally clean room with an exceptionally comfortable bed. Smooth check-in, generally exceptional service. Magnificent, awesome location close to mountain & village. Just off the cafe which was lovely-friendly staff, lush forested slopes that lie within Tongariro National Park in the heart of New Zealand's North Island and the restaurant and café:)))

Chic iconic hotel with a heated pool and exterior views. Great and stunning location relatively near Mahuia Rapids. Found in a stunning area.
